Limitations:
Only works by touch. Only manipulates the particles already existent in the object. The larger or more solid the object the more concentration and energy needed to manipulate.
It can be suppressed by a stronger matter manipulator or a material too dense.
Interests:
Feeling the way particles make different materials and collecting small spheres of materials as souvenir she keeps hidden.
Ambitions:
Challenging and mastering her ability, making a place for herself in this world. Freedom for variants.
Life History:
Age 5 - Started noticing her special ability
Age 7 - Tried matter manipulating her pet dog into a cat which went horrible wrong. Her parents seeked help from the Government.
Age 9 - Parents decided they couldn't handle her anymore. She was transferred to a secret Government facility.
Age 10 - The Government tried fostering her into the Cloasteen Family who have the ability to cloak objects. She only connected with Xander Cloasteen and didn't connect well with the rest of the family.
Age 14 - Transferred back to the secret Government facility after starting to rebel against family rules.
Age 15 - Started to escape from Government facility and vandalising the local community out of frustration. She was always caught by Jeff Lucas (variant social worker) and returned to the Government facility.
Age 17 - Escaped the facility for two years (supported by secret contact with Xander Cloasteen) before being found due to her trademark vandalism skill.
Age 19 - Transferred to a high security cell specially made to contain her and under the careful watch of Anton Larrow (a more powerful matter manipulator working for the Government)
Age 23 - Stopped trying to escape out of rebellion. Still managed to slip out of her cell occasionally for short periods of time.
Age 24 - Security relaxed around her and she was allowed to take guarded excursions into town.
Age 25 - Ran away with no intention of ever returning.

Ability Details:
The ability to see the possibilities which branch from the present based on the different actions open to you. You can accurately see how the environment will react to your input and adjust your input to achieve the desired outcome. You can generally select a future by following the effects of an action or search for a result and backtrack to the present, plotting the required actions.
Limitations:
You can only see possible futures. Successful use of the ability requires the appropriate skills and strategies. The more detailed the desired outcome, the more searching that is required and the harder it is to achieve. For instance, manipulating the roll of a die is a huge challenge as you need to manipulate the way you throw it precisely. However, pulling out an ace from a pack of face down cards is easy as you can just pick the card that results in you turning over an ace. If you pick something too complicated, the situation will change before you can implement the required actions making you useless.
Two people with foresight can cancel each other out to a degree as both try and shape their actions to achieve what they want and won't be manipulated by their counterpart.
Drugs that reduce the ability to think clearly or quickly reduce effectiveness as it is a mental power. Drink Responsibly.
Busy, distracting environments may reduce ability in the untrained.

Enjoys sport, especially combat. He uses his power and thus is quite practiced in using it in fast paced situations.

Ability Details:She has the ability to completely control a person's thoughts and actions. This is established initially through eye contact, and she is able to control them from a significant distance. She also has powerful telepathic abilities.
Limitations:
Needs direct eye contact to gain control, though telepathic abilities remain despite this. Powerful telepaths would be able to feel her presence and resist her control for longer. It takes more energy for her to control them. The greater the distance between her and her victim, the more energy it takes, also.

Dancing (especially ballet), reading (To Kill a Mockingbird is her favourite book), listening to music, baking (not cooking!)

Life History:
Age 8 -
powers realised when she told a fellow student to jump off a bridge during an
argument. Thankfully, that student was Anthea, who had the ability of
regeneration. Bethany and Anthea are transferred to the same school and become
friends. Atticus hires 17 year old Christian Blackguard to tutor her.

Age 9 -
Bethany begins dance classes after seeing her aunt Sabrina perform, despite her
father’s objections. Her mother encourages her, and Bethany is soon found to be
very gifted.
Age 12 -
Bethany’s mother dies in an accident, the exact details of which are unknown to
her. Her father’s views on telepathy as the only ‘noble’ gift are even more
pounded into her, though she herself does not share this view.
Age 15 -
Bethany is offered a scholarship at a dance school. Here she expands her
dancing repertoire and becomes proficient in ballet, jazz, tap, ballroom and
even hip hop, though ballet remains her first love.
Age 18 -
Bethany graduates from the dance school and decides to attend an overseas
dance school to continue studying dance with the hope of taking it up
professionally. She winds up at the Granford School of Dance in Russia, at
Christian’s suggestion, and with the financial support of his family. Atticus
does not invest financially, but secretly attends all of her recitals. Anthea studies music
at university, majoring in vocal performance, and meets Nate, who plays several instruments including guitar.
Age 22 -
Bethany graduates from the Granford School and is offered a position with a
ballet company in her home country. She moves back. The Blackguard family begin
pressuring her to help them politically with her powers, which she refuses. The
money stops, and she is forced to scrape by on her dancing salary and
reluctantly moves back home with her father. However, she remains on friendly terms with
Christian, whom she continues to meet with regularly, both for social and
training purposes. Anthea and Nate are engaged.
Age 23 -
Anthea proposes the three friends start up a performing arts school together.
Her family backs the funding, Bethany quits the dance company and the
Schueller-Collins Performing Arts School officially opened. Though the amount
of students was small, initially, the school has grown steadily in popularity,
though still has a ways to go.
Age 24 -
Nate and Anthea are married, Bethany is their maid of honour. Bethany begins receiving correspondence from the
Blackguard family again, which she ignores. The Schueller-Collins Performing
Arts School holds its first concert.Bethany now has enough money to move out of home and into a small apartment, which her father visits regularly, though she doesn't always enjoy this.

Anthea has been friends with Bethany since the infamous 'bridge incident', happy to have found another Variant. She suggested opening the dance school and teaches music and drama. Her family are very powerful financially, less so politically.
Nate met Anthea at university where they were both studying music. He proposed to her when they graduated, and they married just before the official opening of their school. Bethany was their maid of honour. Nate teaches music at the school.
Ability: Telepath
Christian is the heir to the Blackguard family, the main telepath force in the Variant council. He was hired as Bethany's tutor when she was 8. He thinks of her as a younger sister and does his best to shield her from the various factions within the council. The rest of his family, however, are not so obliging.

He can teleport anywhere he has physically been before, or to a place within his line of sight. He can choose what items/people to take with him. For example, he will always teleport his clothes with him, but not the ground he stands on. Teleporting uses energy, so the more he teleports the tireder he gets.

Must have been to a place before he can teleport there (except when he has line of sight). The bigger the items he teleports with him, the more tired he gets (for example, he is able to teleport a car with him, but will be very tired at the destination).
Interests:
Honing his fighting ability. As an assassin it is important for him to be physically fit and an expert in stealth. He doesn't have much of a life outside work but he enjoys the odd drink here and there with the other upper class variants (mainly the current heirs of the prominent families)

To push his teleportation ability to its limits-to discover new uses for it so that he can be unstoppable as a stealthy, lethal assassin.
